I began taking yoga classes after a knee injury in dance. My time recovering was difficult, but because of Yoga my spirits lifted and the practice stayed with me and became a part of my journey.
For over 15 years my practice has helped me grow stronger, more flexible, and fearless, both on and off the mat. In 2015, I decided to expand my practice and become a certified yoga instructor through East Meets West.
My style has evolved through my background in dance, my teachings and daily self practice. I focus a lot on using body weight to have a stronger practice and to increase muscle tone. The core of my work comes from the abdomen, chest, shoulders and low back. This type of strength based practice helped to improve my posture and prepared my body for more challenging poses.
