As a yoga student of 15+ years and an instructor since 2022 Joelle loves bringing yoga to my students. she has a 10 year background in heath care which fuels her desire to encourage self care and wellness in others. Joelle loves bringing students inward to listen to their physical bodies and answer with mindfulness. Making yoga accessible to everyone is her main mission as a teacher. Whether it’s a Vinyasa flow, restorative practice , or Yin practice, she loves every second of it!
Gaitrie is a passionate and experienced yoga teacher who received her RYT certification in 2016 through East Meets West Yoga, with additional certification as a Kids Yoga Instructor. Specializing in Vinyasa Yoga, her classes are rooted in strength-building and fluid movement, designed to challenge the body while nurturing the mind and spirit. Her teaching style is both grounding and empowering, offering students a calming, supportive space where they can explore their limits and reconnect with themselves.
But for Gaitrie, yoga is more than just the poses—it’s a lifestyle and a journey inward. With a deep respect for the holistic roots of yoga, she weaves in breathwork, meditation, and intention-setting to guide students beyond the mat. Her goal is not only to support physical wellness but to create space for deep self-discovery, reflection, and healing.
Raised in a vibrant cultural background and grounded by her Guyanese and Indian heritage, Gaitrie brings a unique perspective to her teaching. She believes that yoga is a powerful tool for reconnecting with our truest selves and honoring our roots. Her mission is to share yoga with her community—especially those who may feel unseen or underrepresented—so they too can access this sacred practice in a way that feels safe, inclusive, and transformative.
Whether through private sessions, prenatal support, or classes for children, Gaitrie’s work is a gentle invitation to pause, breathe, and listen deeply. She holds space for students to remember their worth, connect with their purpose, and experience the beauty of simply being. Through yoga, she helps others find balance in their daily lives and move through the world with strength, compassion, and clarity.
