Devi Performing Arts is proud to be a part of cultural and educational initiatives that bring the rich and vibrant traditions of Indian art forms to communities across New York and beyond. Through dynamic school assemblies, interactive workshops, and captivating community performances, students and families alike are immersed in the colorful world of folk dances such as Garba and Bhangra, alongside classical Indian forms like Kathak and the lively rhythms of Bollywood dance.
For many students, our programs offer a rare opportunity to experience the richness of Indian culture firsthand, going beyond what they encounter in textbooks and mainstream media. These unique experiences foster deep cultural appreciation, broaden perspectives, and ignite curiosity about the world’s diverse traditions.
